International Council Advancing Independent School Accreditation

ICAISA, originally convened in 2002 as the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) Commission on Accreditation, is a nonprofit organization, incorporated in the United States as a 501(c)(3). Each Association Member of ICAISA has voluntarily submitted to a rigorous and impartial review of its accreditation program and demonstrated its adherence to ICAISA Criteria for Effective Independent School Accreditation Practices.

 

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement/Student Exchange Visitors Program recognizes ICAISA members and their accredited schools located in the United States of America.



ICAISA is an international advocate for excellence and accountability in assessment of independent schools.

ICAISA members maintain thoughtful and deliberate accreditation programs that encourage continual school improvement while meeting criteria for effective accreditation practices that have been researched, field-tested, and refined based on their use in thousands of school settings.


ICAISA serves as an informed and guiding authority, helping to ensure independent school strength and autonomy through quality assurance.
